Serwent acquires Gjøvaag AS and Gjøvaag Rørfornying AS in Mid-Norway
12 May 2025
As part of Serwent Group’s strategic ambition to build a leading Nordic platform within sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure, the Group has entered into an agreement to acquire Gjøvaag AS – a well-established provider of specialised VA services – together with Gjøvaag Rørfornying AS.
The acquisition significantly strengthens Serwent’s technical depth and execution capacity within pipe rehabilitation and maintenance of water and wastewater networks in Mid-Norway.
Strengthening pipe rehabilitation capabilities in Trøndelag
For several decades, Gjøvaag AS has delivered specialised services including sludge suction, high-pressure flushing and technical operation of VA networks. Gjøvaag Rørfornying AS, established in 2024, was founded to meet the growing demand for sustainable, trenchless pipe rehabilitation solutions.
By integrating both companies into its existing operations in Trøndelag — where Serwent has been present for several years through TT-Teknikk — the Group further reinforces its regional platform with expanded expertise, equipment and project capacity.
Local expertise combined with Nordic scale
Rune Kristiansen, Head of Serwent Norway, comments:
“We are very pleased to welcome both Gjøvaag AS and Gjøvaag Rørfornying AS to Serwent. Their strong professional expertise and local market knowledge will significantly enhance our presence and capacity in Mid-Norway.”
Tom Gjøvaag, Managing Director of Gjøvaag AS, states:
“Becoming part of Serwent gives us access to greater resources and a broader professional environment, while allowing us to continue developing and delivering high-quality solutions to our customers. It is a natural and positive next step for both companies.”
Supporting long-term infrastructure sustainability
The acquisition underlines Serwent Group’s long-term ambition to be a leading provider of forward-looking, efficient and sustainable solutions for maintenance and renewal of water and wastewater infrastructure across the Nordic region.
